Agapanthus africanus (Compassion Flower)

Nergisgillerendir. Semi-tall plants are native to South Africa. They are grown in pots at least as well as garden plants. This plant is like a green, sword-shaped, dark green leaf hanging downwards, arranged as close together as 60 cm long. The flower is from the middle of July, August with dark blue-violet flowers in flashy clusters. The plant can be up to 90 cm long and has been developed on the balconies with protection against frost. They multiply with the seeds of Agapantus plant, but faster by dividing the plant in the autumn.
