Castanea sativa (Chestnut)

Body shells that are smooth in the genitals get cracked as they get older. Young shoots turn greenish gray then reddish brown. Wide pine needles or narrow elliptical leaves are pointed. Leaves are 16-30 cm long, 5-9 cm wide. It is a simple tooth with edge. The teeth are pointed, curled upwards. The upper surface is a shiny green lower face and the fur is slightly fuzzy. Male flowers are spike shaped. Female flowers are found on the underside of male flowers. The cup consists of 4 brackets, with sinker thorns on it. There are 3 red-brown seeds in the form of hemispheres.
